Traditional Desserts, Made New

I have to admit, the tipicos are all pretty good!  I don't think I could have ever invented such delicious stuff.  But I guess only the really great stuff stands the test of time.  That's why it gets passed down generation after generation, because it's so great!  If it wasn't that good, it wouldn't continue to be passed down.  So, if a recipe has been around for generations, you know it must be good!

I have created a few recipes of my own using the big tipicos of Salvadoran sweetery.  I like to say that these are "tipicos, with a garnish of American".  Just a new twist on something already perfect.  And when it comes to desserts, you can never go wrong with having more than one way to make them - it's just an excuse to eat them more often!
