About Me

About Me

Hola!  Bienvenido a mi cocina!  Thanks for checking out my blog!

I wrote this blog to share all the Salvadoran food recipes I learned to cook.

I am married to the love of my life and he just so happens to be from El Salvador.  After marrying him I set out to learn to cook all the food he loved to eat.

Below is a picture of my husband.

About Me
Mr. Cipote, my super hot hubby.
When I got married, I realized that my husband was not a big fan of the food I knew how to cook.  So, I set out to learn how to cook all the delicious traditional from El Salvador he loved to eat.  It wasn't easy, but after lots of experimentation and many lessons from sweet Salvadorenas in my life, I finally was able to cook some comida tipica for him.

This blog contains all the information that I was searching for when I first set out to learn to cook for my husband.  My hope is that this blog will encourage other wives to cook for their husbands and their children, especially those married to spouses from different cultures.  It's a great blessing for children to grow up knowing about the cultures they come from and food is an easy and fun way to accomplish that.  If you start to get discouraged, just remember what Philipians 4:13 tells us: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"!

About MeIf you would like to learn a little more about me and why I blog, please check out my feature on NBC Latino: Food blogs we love: Postres de la Cipota.  Please also check out my women's lifestyle website, The Makeup Equation .

Con Mucho Carino,
La Cipota.
